Self-professed diva Kim Kardashian isn't a stranger to controversy.
Throughout the duration of her stint in the spotlight, the US reality icon has found herself in hot water with fans for her questionable professional endeavours, turbulent relationships and often 'out of touch' commentaries surrounding the world of stardom.
Just last month, she was implored by fans to issue an apology for an insensitive comment she made about Kate Middleton's 'disappearance'.
Weeks earlier, the star was slammed for revealing she keeps a potentially-dangerous tanning bed in her office.

This week, however, it is the high maintenance attitude that mother-of-four Kim is most notoriously famed for that has raised eyebrows of her followers, after she made a comment during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that viewers have dubbed 'sheltered and rich'.
Speaking to the big-name television presenter, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star began opening up on her biggest pet peeves and most unique quirks, before Jimmy revealed he'd caught wind of a particular habit of hers.
It was then that he asked her whether it's true that she has a member of staff 'take the Starbucks sleeve off her coffee', because she 'hates the sound of cardboard'.

It was then that the SKIMS boss admitted to her peculiar demand, confessing she has no control of what gives her the ick.
"Yes, it’s true and I hate the feeling, like the sound, like the cardboard getting moved off the cup is like nails on a chalkboard to me," she cringed.
TV star Kim even went as far as to reveal she actually asks for it to be done while she's not looking, so she can avoid watching the movement.

Surprisingly, a handful of viewers of the show claimed they could absolutely relate to the American Horror Story actress' quirk, with many insisting they endure the same excruciating sensational when they hear the sound of cardboard.
"I totally get Kim here, she’s one of us," one penned on social media.
Another went on: "[To be honest] it can be irritating."
"This is the first thing she’s said that I actually relate to," added a third.

Others, however, have taken the opportunity to call Kim out on her diva-ish attitude.
One critic accused the star of exhibiting 'sheltered and coddled and rich behaviour', while insisting that cardboard surrounding your coffee cup 'is not that serious'.
Tyla has contacted Kim's representatives for comment.
