Fans of One Direction have been left furious after a key detail on the band's Wikipedia page was changed following the news of Liam Payne’s tragic death.
The 31-year-old singer sadly passed away yesterday after falling from a balcony at the hotel CasaSur in Palermo, with police saying they has responded to an emergency call informing them of ‘an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol'.
Alberto Crescenti, the head of the state emergency medical system, said on Argentina's Todo Noticias TV channel that the singer had fallen from his hotel room into a courtyard.

"At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel," he said.
"At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation."
Since the news of his death, droves of fans, friends and his family have come out to pay tribute to the singer.

But fans were shocked to find out that one element of the band's Wikipedia page had been updated so fast.
It was when they clocked that Payne was listed as a 'past member' alongside Zayn Malik, who left the band in 2015, that they were left reeling.
Several angry fans took to Twitter to slam the move and called it 'f***ed up’.
Someone wrote: “But he’s still a member of 1D :(( wtf is this”.

The singer died from multiple injuries when he fell 40 foot into the courtyard of the hotel he was staying at.
He was in Argentina for his former-bandmate Niall Horan's concert and was shown previously dancing at Horan’s gig with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.
Cassidy left two days ago to go back to Florida while Payne stayed behind.
According to police, the hotel room Payne was staying in before he died was in ‘total disorder’.

Officers said there had been 'various items broken', and that they had found medications scattered around the area, including clonazepam, a benzodiazepine used to control epilepsy, involuntary muscle spasms or panic disorders, as well as other over-the-counter drugs and energy supplements.
They also found whiskey, a lighter and a mobile phone in the inner courtyard where Payne's body was found.
