Love Island 2024 star Ronnie Vint has surprising link to ex-islander

Ronnie Vint has some very famous friends

It's been a matter of hours since the 2024 instalment of Love Island finally landed on our screens, and already it's got viewers' tongues wagging.

And one fact that has utterly blown away fans at home, is that one of this year's stars is actually pretty well known in the UK celebrity realm.

Last week, ITV producers finally gave viewers a glimpse into this year's cast-mates and let's just say, it went down a treat with fans, with star-studded connections becoming apparent left, right and centre.

An example being Munveer Jabbal (a 30-year-old Recruitment Manager from Surrey), who revealed that he's already got a claim to fame, being best pals with Piers Morgan's son Spencer.

Another star, however, with A-list connections, is fan-favourite Ronnie Vint.

"I'm a fun, bubbly person looking for a good time so I’m confident that I’ll get on really well with everyone and can hopefully find a nice girl whilst I’m at it," he told fans ahead of the show.

The 27-year-old South East London local was paired with Manchester girl Jess Wright during tonight's debut instalment, but appears to have struck up quite the flirtationship with Scouse MUA, Samantha Kenny.

Unlike the majority of his co-stars, however, Ronnie has a big connection to Love Island before his arrival in the villa.

He is already friends with someone who has tried their hand at finding love on the show—and it's none other than 2017 legend Olivia Attwood.

It turns out that the two actually go way back, with Ronnie actually having been besties with Olivia's footballer husband Bradley Dack for years.

"Bradley Dack is my best friend and he and Olivia are a big part of my life," he said.

"I call Olivia my big little sister, she always looks out for me."

In fact, Ronnie's pretty much as close to the recently-married duo as can be, and was even Bradley's best man at his 2023 wedding.

Olivia also wrote on Instagram Story after his cast announcement that Ronnie is 'literally like a brother to me', adding: "You guys are going to love him!! I know it."

And it turns out that she actually gave Ronnie some words of wisdom ahead of his on-screen stint.

"She spoke to me about the experience that I'm going to go through and said 'look, just enjoy it...you've always got on with everyone and that will be more than enough to get you started on the show," he said to The Sun.

"She's always been supportive and I've always been supportive of what she's done."

Adorable!
