Martha Stewart has extremely controversial underwear admission and it's not for everyone

The TV chef admitted she prefers covering her nether regions with something else entirely

In a high-profile rarity, Martha Stewart has revealed she's 'anti-underwear', lifting the lid on her arguably bizarre reason for going commando in a bombshell interview.

And let's just say, her answer gives us major #firstworldproblem energy.

In recent weeks, we've had countless controversial celebrity admissions hit the headlines.

Fans of Kate Hudson have discovered that neither she nor How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days co-star Matthew McConaughey use deodorant.

On top of this, power couple Mila Kunis and Aston Kutcher only give their two children a bath when absolutely necessary, and Taylor Swift recently admitted that she doesn't even wash her legs in the shower.

I did warn you - the brutal honesty isn't always appreciated.

And as we say, speaking to Page Six this week, 83-year-old Martha Stewart admitted she's not a fan of regular underwear, and prefers to protect her nether-regions with something else entirely.

"Bathing suits are my underwear," the TV chef and businesswoman explained. "I don’t wear any of that structured stuff. No tight lace, no Skims for Martha."

"But I love Skims," she was careful to add. "I think they serve a very good purpose — but I don’t wear those. I only wear Eres bathing suits under my clothes."

But what exactly is it about conventional underwear that has put the media personality off for life?

"I like wearing bathing suits under my clothes just in case I want to go swimming," she explained.

Oh, to be rich enough to always have a pool, a beach or an ocean at hand.

This isn't the first time that Martha has broken convention when it comes to fashion, after she gave the perfect response to being asked by the same news outlet about the notion of dressing for one's age'.

"Dressing for whose age?" she famously hit back. "I don’t think about age. I think people are more and more and more [fabulous] than they’ve ever been in their senior years, and I applaud every one of them."

She added: "I’ve dressed the same since I was 17. If you look at my pictures on my Instagram, I look pretty much the same."

The news comes just days after Martha was spotted along with rap star pal Snoop Dogg at this year's Olympic Games in Paris.

The duo were papped at a dressage event together, with grandmother-of-two Martha explaining that the music star had suggested an appearance.

Dishing the dirt to Today, she previously confessed: "Snoop called me, and he knows I love horses. He’s a little fearful of horses.”
