‘Dead’ journalist has explicit response after Martha Stewart made savage claims about her

‘Dead’ journalist has explicit response after Martha Stewart made savage claims about her

The 'dead' journalist has a score to settle

A journalist Martha Stewart believed was dead has spoken out.

The businesswoman and lifestyle guru has her very own Netflix documentary, Martha, about the trials and tribulations over the course of her career.

In the two-hour long candid film which dropped earlier this month, Stewart - fresh off coming for Ryan Reynolds out of the blue - reflects on being convicted of four counts of obstruction of justice and making false statements to federal investigators in 2004.

As a result, the 83-year-old had to serve a five-month prison sentence.

Stewart also discusses the controversial articles written about her at the time by New York Post reporter Andrea Peyser. The journalist attended Stewart’s trial two decades ago, and in one article which can still be found online today, she called Stewart the ‘ice queen of control’.

“The New York Post lady was there, just looking so smug,” Stewart shares in the doc, refraining from mentioning Peyser’s name. “She had written horrible things during the entire trial.

She added: “But she’s dead now, thank goodness. Nobody has to put up with that crap that she was writing all the time.”

However the journalist has returned from the afterlife with new beef to settle.

On Thursday (7 November), the ‘dead’ reporter hit back in a new article published by the New York Post.

The piece, which was perhaps partly inspired by Pink’s 2006 album I’m Not Dead, is titled: “Hey Martha Stewart, you gloated about the death of a Post columnist - but I’m alive, b****!”

Peyser hits back at the claims that she died, writing: “News of my passing came as a shock. Should I be scared about continuing to write that ‘crap’?”

She continued: “But rather than feeling angry or worried that Martha has offed me, or to seek an emergency order of protection, I am overwhelmingly sad in the face of Martha’s bitterness."

Peyser wasn't done there, continuing: "She has spent the years stewing over her persecution by a sexist justice system that she says was hellbent on taking down a woman who’s rich, or something that rhymes with it. And she remains dangerously preoccupied with little, insignificant me."

Tyla has contacted Martha Stewart's team for a comment.

Someone else who may have a bone to pick with Stewart is Ryan Reynolds, after Stewart said he was 'not so funny in real life'.

She added: "He’s a good actor. He can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again."

Tell us how you really feel, Martha.
