An awkward moment on The Drew Barrymore Show saw Martha Stewart pushing the host away during a particularly close interview.
Drew Barrymore is known for being a fan of physical touch, which she incorporates into her caring, warm interview style.
However, it seems that her touchy-feely attitude - albeit light-hearted fun - wasn’t Stewart’s cup of tea.
Sat on Barrymore's comfy chat show sofa earlier this week, Stewart was promoting her 100th cookbook - titled Martha: The Cookbook: 100 Favorite Recipes, with Lessons and Stories from My Kitchen - when a question from the presenter left her puzzled.

Barrymore asked Stewart if there’s anything that makes her feel 'soft and gooey'.
Confused by the question, Stewart replied: "Soft and gooey … treatment."
"Soft and gooey treatment,” Barrymore repeated, touching her guest's shoulder.

"When you’re treated like a lady," the talk show host added.
"Yes, it’s nice," Stewart said as the Barrymore began stroking her arm and back.
The chef then put a stop to Barrymore’s skit by saying: "You're the wrong gender," and jokingly pushed her away.
The Charlie’s Angels star responded: "I know!” Before falling back on the sofa in a dramatic fashion.

This hasn’t been the first time Barrymore has done something slightly embarrassing.
The Riding in Cars with Boys star previously revealed she once left a list of people she’d slept with at a fellow celebrity’s house.
On her show, Barrymore recently discussed the rising trend of people keeping ‘sex lists’ on their phones. These lists detail everyone one has got busy with over the years, with Barrymore explaining she also used to keep one, until she misplaced it at an A-lister’s house.

She said: "I made a list. It was back in the day. I did it with paper and pen. I’m the most disorganised person, I lose everything. I left it at someone’s house."
The celebrity who ended up in possession of Barrymore’s secret sex list was none other than Danny DeVito.
Luckily for Barrymore’s privacy, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star never found the incriminated document.
"I did admit to him," she said, referring to a 2022 episode of her talk show where she reminded DeVito of the sex list incident. "He came on the show, and I was like, 'I left my sex list at your house'."

But DeVito told Barrymore: "I never saw it."
"Your secret is safe with me," he added.
