People are only finding out who Miley Cyrus’s brother is, and fans of a certain 2007 hit are rejoicing that he’s finally being recognised.
The singer and actress has long been held in the spotlight, first with her hit TV show, Hannah Montana, and then as she went on to grow up and star in other shows, movies and really grow her music career into what it is today.
Now a Grammy winner and hit maker, Cyrus is known all over the world…but her family aren’t as well recognised.

But as it turns out, the music bug is well and truly in the genes of Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus.

There’s Miley, Noah and another child who have made their own waves in the music scene, but not a lot of people know about the third kid.
That would be her brother, Trace Cyrus.

Trace is the adopted son of Billy Ray Cyrus and biological son of Tish, from a previous relationship.
Trace has been pretty private about his life, after battling addiction and forming the 2006 band Metro Station with Mason Musso, the brother of fellow Hannah Montana star, Mitchel Musso.
The pair went on to receive overwhelming love in the UK in 2007 with their breakout song, Shake it. You know what song I’m talking about.
But many people were unaware that the pair were related to each other, and when an Instagram post broke the news, many users were shook.

One person wrote in the comments: “I was today years old when I found out she had a brother.”

Another agreed: “SHE GOT A BROTHER I THOUGHT SHE ONLY HAD A SISTER.”
Someone else was a fan of Trace, but didn’t know the connection, writing: “I didn't know that but that was my song.”

A fourth shared that they had a ‘crush’ on Trace but was unaware that he was Cyrus’s brother.
While he’s remained relatively on the down low, he did recently make it into the news after calling out Billy Ray for his bizarre Donald Trump inauguration performance - and has since been threatened with legal action.
It all began after the singer's controversial inauguration performance left people shocked.
He ended up writing in a statement that Billy Ray is both 'not healthy' and needs 'help'.

The 63-year-old chart-topper was commissioned to perform on January 20 at the presidential concert of Donald Trump, and following a number of technical difficulties, the father-of-six lashed out at backstage staff.
The incident didn't go unnoticed by many viewers, and many were heartbroken at the legendary musician’s performance.
Following his father's performance, the 35-year-old took to Instagram to pen a lengthy message of concern regarding his father's behaviour.
Later, Trace issued another statement aimed at his father, claiming that Billy Ray had attempted to file a lawsuit against him, writing: "Dad my message was beyond loving.
"I could have been extremely honest about a lot more but I don't want to put your business out there like that.
"But for you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace."
Trace claimed that his 'Pappy' is 'looking down' on his father 'with such disappointment', telling Billy Ray he 'should be ashamed' of himself.
He ended his message with: "I will always love you but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel.
"I'm not. Get help."
