Millie Bobby Brown leaves fans divided over new look after recently debuting major change

Millie Bobby Brown showed off her new style while promoting her movie, The Electric State, in Los Angeles

Millie Bobby Brown fans have been left divided after the star debuted a new look online.

Earlier this month, Millie showed off her new blonde hair on Instagram and followers were completely blown away, with some claiming the 21-year-old looks older with the new style.

In fact, a few even claimed she looked like 'someone's mum' when she was seen with her little sister, Ava Brown, 13, this week.

The sisters were spotted leaving the premiere of her new movie, The Electric State, in Los Angeles on Monday evening (24 February).

One person commented: "Millie really looks like someone's mom!"

While someone else shared a Mean Girls GIF, reading: "I'm a cool mom!"

Some were confused about Millie's age, with one person writing: "Literally had to double check it was her who turned 21 the other day."

Others were loving the blonde, especially with fans convinced it could indicate an exciting new role for the Stranger Things star.

Among the most popular theories being discussed is one which predicts she's set to appear in an upcoming Britney Spears biopic.

"Oh s**t. Is she actually playing Britney?!" one asked, as a second guessed: "Ready to play Britney now."

"BRITNEY IS COMING," a third predicted, while another questioned: "BRITNEY???"

Variety reported back in August that Universal Pictures had won the rights to a movie adaptation of Britney's 2024 best-selling memoir, The Woman In Me, adding that Wicked director Jon M. Chu had been hired for the gig.

It was also revealed by the outlet that producer Marc Platt was involved.

The news came after the singer herself teased a something exciting on her horizon on X, writing: "Excited to share with my fans that I've been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt.

"He’s always made my favorite movies... stay tuned."

Millie has fuelled the speculation even further in a recent interview with Access Hollywood.

Speaking about Britney, she said: "I mean, you know, she is an absolute icon. I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story. But that's her story, and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life... how she wants to.

"I would want someone to bring it to life in the most beautiful way, and I'd always be open to that."

Meanwhile, of the biopic, Chu told Billboard: "I’m a big fan of Britney. I’ve been a fan since I was young and she was young and she was one of 12 acts at the Shrine Auditorium.

"So I want to do her justice and tell her story right.

"We’re developing it now and it’s a long road ahead."
