Disgraced rap star Sean 'Diddy' Combs has posted on social media for the first time since July, following his arrest last month on sex trafficking charges.

The 54-year-old record producer was arrested last month on suspicion of numerous sex crimes, including rape and trafficking.

News of the arrest - which was followed by an indictment by a grand jury - was confirmed at the time with a statement released by US attorney Damian Williams, 'based on a sealed indictment filed by the SDNY'.

He added: "We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time."

Countless individuals - many of whom are underage - have accused the music boss of a multitude of heinous offences in recent months, including having 'abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct'.

Diddy is also said to have used 'employees, resources, and influence of the multi-faceted business empire that he led and controlled' to 'attempt to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice'.

Despite denying all allegations, Diddy has remained incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn in New York since his arrest.

Now, in an unexpected twist, the controversial star has broken his social media silence from behind bars for the first time in three months.

Diddy - who is a father to seven children - took to Instagram, where he uploaded a series of sweet photos of one of his youngest daughters, Love, whom he shares with former flame, cyber security specialist Dana Tran.

The post was an ode to his little girl, who celebrated her second birthday on Tuesday (15 October).

In two of images from the collection, the youngster could be seen enjoying some birthday cake in a professional shoot.

Two other photos saw Love enjoying some one-on-one time with her father, sitting together in one snap and playing in the ocean in another.

He penned in the caption: "Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday baby Love! Happy Birthday to you!! Happy Birthday @loveseancombs daddy loves you".

Diddy previously admitted to having hosted rampant sexual get-togethers, which he himself has previously described as 'freak offs'.

The confession came just months after the rapper's former girlfriend, musician Cassie Ventura, also filed a lawsuit accusing her ex of having abused her throughout the duration of their relationship, which lasted between 2007 and 2018.

The former couple reached a settlement the following day - though the terms of that settlement haven't been made public.

His attorney subsequently made clear the settlement was not an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

His latest trial date has been set for May 5 of next year.
