Sabrina Carpenter fans have been left baffled after the singer debuted a new look on the cover of Vogue this week.
The 25-year-old US star graced the cover of the magazine's March issue, showing off a vintage look reminiscent of both Marilyn Monroe and Madonna.
And fans were quick to notice the change, with many pointing out the similarities between Sabrina and the two iconic stars.

One wrote on X: "Serving us Marilyn Monroe realness!"
While another said: "Sabrina is absolutely stunning! She’s owning that cover."
And a third added: "Very Marilyn."
Others compared her to Madonna, with many noticing her Dolce & Gabbana corset had similarities to a Jean Paul Gaultier style wore by Madonna in the nineties.

Meanwhile, a cover of Madonna on Italian Vogue in 1991 was shot by the same photographer, Steven Meisel.
"Seeing this Sabrina Carpenter by Steven Meisel for Vogue US cover/editorial makes me think a lot about how Madonna is and will always be very relevant in pop culture and fashion, the girls will always drink water from her fountain. With that being said, Sabrina looks stunning!" one fan wrote.
While another said: "Sabrina referencing Madonna is so important to me. Two women who always get criticized for how open they are for embracing their sexuality, even though there is so much more to them than that."

Others said they didn't even recognise the 25-year-old Short n' Sweet star, who recently scooped two awards at the Grammys for best pop solo performance and album of the year.
The former Disney Channel star also sang two of her biggest hits from last year at the awards show - 'Espresso' and 'Please Please Please'.
But Sabrina isn't the only star to have recently undergone a change of style.
Earlier this month, we told you Millie Bobby Brown showed off her new blonde look online.

The Stranger Things actress shared a series of snaps donning a bleach blonde wig, which she paired with unusually-heavy glam and a black body-con dress.
Her drastic change in appearance has since sparked several theories from fans - including one, suggesting Brown has switched up her look for a new movie role.
Amongst the most popular theories being discussed in the post's comments is one which predicts she's set to appear in an upcoming Britney Spears biopic.

"Oh s**t. Is she actually playing Britney?!" one asked, as another guessed: "Ready to play Britney now."
In August, Variety reported that University Pictures had won the rights to a movie adaptation of Britney's 2024 best-selling memoir The Woman In Me.
