Selena Gomez has been extremely candid about how she may never be able to carry her own children as she announces her engagement to Benny Blanco.
The Only Murders In The Building star, 32, and her musician beau Benny, 36, broke the news of their engagement last night (11 Dec), 18 months after going public with their romance.
Selena shared a carousel of snaps on Instagram, including one of a colossal ring sitting pretty on her finger.

"Forever begins now..." she captioned the post, after which Benny commented: "Hey wait… that’s my wife."
Many were quick to congratulate the couple, with Taylor Swift even popping up in the comments to issue a iconic reaction to the happy news.
Now that Selena and Benny are to become husband and wife, the inevitable question that's likely to follow is when they might to become parents - something which the singer has addressed before.
Earlier this year, Selena bravely revealed that she would never be able to carry her own child - a reality she claimed she was forced to 'grieve'.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Selena - whose former flames include Justin Bieber and The Weeknd - made a series of gushy remarks about Benny, claiming that she'd 'never been loved' in such a way.
"He’s just been a light. A complete light in my life," she said. "He’s my best friend. I love telling him everything."
In the same interview, she revealed that, even before meeting Benny, she'd set herself a series of goals that she hoped to have achieved by the time she reached her 35th birthday.

"Before I met my boyfriend, I was single for five years, with the exception of going on a few dates," she recalled.
"And I was like, 'OK, if this is the vibe, then what is the most important thing to me? Family'."
In the past, the 'Who Says' singer had alluded to the possibility of adoption, though opted not to detail her reasoning why.

Speaking to press at a Time 100 Most Influential Companies event back in May, the star explained: "I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it.
"A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it."
Selena continued: "Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone."
The decision, she says, was partially inspired by the fact her mother was adopted.

"[If she hadn't been] I probably wouldn’t be here," she joked. "I don’t know what her life would’ve been like. She and I are very thankful for how life played out."
It was then that Selena also revealed that ongoing health issues mean she's unlikely to ever be able to carry her own children, adding: "I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children.
"I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while."
The actor, who was diagnosed with lupus sometime between 2012 and early 2014, and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017, continued to say that, though the devastating news was initially hard to swallow, she's open to all options.
"It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it," she said. "I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone. [But] I’m in a much better place with that.
"I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.
"It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different."
She courageously added: "At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby."
