Gordon Ramsay is seemingly friends with absolutely every big-name star in Hollywood - including newly-engaged couple Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.
It's true - the British chef was amongst the quickest celebs to congratulate the duo, issuing a bizarre comment on social media that has left viewers utterly baffled.
For those out of the loop with the latest update, singer/actress Selena Gomez and musician Benny Blanco last night (11 Dec) announced their engagement after 18 months of dating.

It wasn't until Benny revealed last month, however, that fans learned they'd actually been friends for some time, but had only taken their relationship further when Selena suggested they go on a date in June last year.
Taking to Instagram, the Only Murders In The Building actress, 32, broke the news with a tear-jerking collection of photos from their special day.
While one showed the sweet picnic in the park set-up that Benny, 36, had arranged - which included a Taco Bell banquet - two others saw Selena showing off her jaw-dropping new marquise diamond ring.

"Forever begins now..." the 'Who Says' singer wrote in the caption, after which her fiancé penned in the comments: "Hey wait… that’s my wife."
It didn't take long at all for millions of congratulatory messages to start pouring in, many of which came from fellow big-namers.
Selena's BFF Taylor Swift joked, 'Yes I will be the flower girl', whilst rapper Cardi B surmised, 'Waiiiitttt hold on'.
Also having chimed in - rather unexpectedly, we might add - is celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

"Congratulations to you both it must be the cooking," the UK-born father-of-six also penned in the comments, alongside three heart emojis.
As we say, Gordon's remark has now greatly divided viewers, with many baffled as to what the celebrity chef could have possibly been getting at.
Some began by praising him for the apparent kindness in his comment.

Others, however, described Gordon's remark as somewhat backhanded, believing he may have been poking fun at Benny's looks and implying that Selena is only with him because of his culinary expertise.

Whilst we can't be 100 per cent sure, it's highly likely that 58-year-old Gordon was just messing around with the couple, being that he and Selena have actually become rather firm friends over the years.
In 2020, she launched a television series called Selena & Chef, which saw her receive 1-1 cooking advice from a group of award-winning chefs, one of whom was Ramsay.
