Selena Gomez has been confirmed as a billionaire, and fans can't get enough of her humble response when asked about it by a reporter.
The Only Murders in the Building star is also the founder of cult favourite Rare Beauty, famed for their pigmented blushes and glossy lip oils.
Last month, Bloomberg reported that Selena is worth a staggering $1.3billion (roughly £975.6m), largely owing to the success of her beauty brand, which she launched in 2019.

While appearing at the New York Film Festival premiere of Emilia Perez, in which Selena stars as Jessi Del Monte, Entertainment Tonight said to the multi-hyphenate: "You have reached billionaire status, with the success of Rare Beauty."
Selena responded: "I'm very grateful. I personally think it’s distasteful to talk about money."
The 32 year old continued: "But I really am giving all the credit to the people who buy the products. They’re the ones that made this dream of mine come true. So I’m really, really honoured and just happy."

One person responded: "'I personally think it's distasteful to talk about money' - she is so humble she doesn't want to boast about money because she has in mind those who are not fortunate and are impoverished. But she still acknowledges those who've worked hard on her brand."
Another said: "Some celebrities can’t help but talk about how much money they have but that’s definitely not Selena."
A third added: "And this is why she is likeable. She’s real and treats human beings like human beings …. at the end of the day celebrities are human beings and they can choose to be good ones or not."

Selena is self-made, having grown up in poverty alongside her mum, Mandy Teefey.
In a 2012 interview with Elle, she shared: "I can remember about seven times when our car got stuck on the highway because we’d run out of gas money.
"My mum gave up everything for me and had three jobs. I remember always being reminded that people had less than we did, and we didn’t have much.

"But I felt like we did because my mum was always doing a hundred million things just to make me happy, and we volunteered at soup kitchens on Thanksgiving."
That isn't the only time the star has shown love and appreciation for the sacrifices of her parent.
In 2017, HuffPost reported Selena as sharing: "Having me at sixteen had to have been a big responsibility. My mom gave up everything for me and had, like, three jobs. She supported me, sacrificed her life for me."
