Stassi Schroeder, of Vanderpump Rules fame, has revealed how she navigates discussing self harm scars with her child.
The reality star has a daughter, Hartford, three.

Stassi has opened up about her experience with self-harm in a new interview.
Having written a book, You Can't Have It All, Stassi has bared all, including about self-harm, suicidal ideation and Adderall addiction.
In an interview with Bustle, Stassi explained why now is the time to open up about her mental health.

She said: "It just feels like it’s been a secret, and I don’t like secrets."
She continued: "When I look at myself naked, Hartford will see a little line, and she’ll be like, ‘Mommy, ouchie.
"I’m like, ‘Oh, God, that feels dirty. How will I ever explain to her that this was something that I chose?"
Stassi also notes that reality TV is 'not good' for your mental health.

She adds that she intends to 'live out loud', because 'there is this feeling of ‘I’m free. Everyone knows my sh*t. I don’t have to hide anything.'
Stassi shared that she worries about the future for her children.
She pondered: "One of the main things that keep me up at night is: ‘What are the things that my kids are going to be talking to their therapists about, the way that I talk about my parents?'"
She added: "The only thing I can think of that they could be pissed about is that I showed them to the world.”

She details showing Hartford scenes of her getting engaged to her now-husband, Beau Clark.
Stassi adds: "But then I think, ‘What’s the alternative?’ They could also, 18 years from now, say, ‘Why didn’t you ever show me?’”
As part of the Vanderpump Rules' season seven reunion, Stassi confronted her Adderall addiction.

She said: “I want to figure out what it is that’s making me like this. I hurt my friends, I hurt [Clark], I hurt myself, and that was a moment where I was like — and I didn’t want to like full-on come out and say this, but I’m not gonna take Adderall again. Like, I’m not gonna do that."
Addressing her departure from Vanderpump Rules, as well as her imminent return to reality stardom with her forthcoming show Stassi Says, she added: "I never felt like I was completely done with reality TV.
“I knew it would have to be what feels authentic to who we are as a family, and Beau was super supportive of the idea.”
