If you've found yourself wondering why a plethora of celebrities seem to be wearing red tinted glasses - you're far from alone.
Long gone are the days of suffering through contact lenses day in and day out. Glasses are very much in vogue, as are different tinted lenses.
They're somewhat of an elevated accessory, with the red tinted lens being the must-have tint above all others.

One video shared by @sleeptints on Instagram explained there's a 'good reason' why celebrities are wearing red tinted glasses.
It stated: "They're an incredible tool for improving sleep and recovery.
"The secret lies in how they block harmful artificial light, specifically blue, green and ultraviolet wavelengths.

"These are the types of light that disrupt your body's production of melatonin, the hormone responsible for regulating your sleep cycle.
"Deep, restorative sleep allows bodies to repair muscle tissue, lower cortisol levels, and recharge energy for the next day."
Ultimately, the glasses can help people wind down naturally - something which is worth its weight in gold.
Oliver Omura, the founder of Specs Collective, offered an alternative take - making it less about ease and more about age.

He told the Wall Street Journal: "I think it helps for older gentlemen who want to maybe hide some of their eyes that make them appear a little older."
Though, of course, it's not just aging stars such as Robert Downey Jr. and Elton John opting for the lenses, the likes of Selena Gomez and Drake have also sported them - with the latter rapping in a song 'Got the rose pink-tinted lenses, it’s a Wednesday', upping their cool level by approximately 200%.
"I definitely do see [coloured lenses] as a trend, particularly with older people looking to kind of spruce up their game," says Ashley Bezamat, owner of Dom Vetro.

The owner of a brand, Fabulous Fanny’s, Bob Hillman, said 'the colour of the lens and the pigment of the lens impacts the quality of what you see and how you see'.
Pointing to pilots as an example, he added that they often opt for green or grey tinted lenses as they 'enhance vividness and minimise scattered (blue and violet) light.'
So, whether you choose for a tinted lens for sleep-aid reasons, sight quality, or just plain old fashion - you can rest assured knowing you're making the same sartorial choices as some of the most successful A-listers out there.
