There are certain stars that you just can’t escape from.
It’s obvious that when Taylor Swift drops a new single or album, fans are going to run to listen to it.
But as a radio host, this can be a nightmare for your listener stats.

So, when famed BBC Radio 1 Breakfast host Greg James was minding his own business and playing his tunes as usual, he wasn’t expecting it to break out into chaos so early in the morning.
Greg was chatting and being his perky self when an announcement came through about Taylor dropping another new album out of the blue.
That’s right, she released two albums, dubbed the ‘secret double album’, which includes 15 more tracks than fans were expecting to receive and some swipes at other celebs.

So we just know Greg understood that his listeners would be listening to T-Swift pronto.
It happened around 7am UK time, when the 34-year-old announced on social media that The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology includes a second instalment.
She wrote online: "It's a 2am surprise: The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album.
"I'd written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here's the second instalment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn't mine anymore… it's all yours."

I mean, we’ve all been waiting for her to drop her songs since she released a teaser about it when she won at the Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album for her fantastic Midnights album.
Now, she has graced us all with her 11th studio album with 31 songs and two hours of pure joy for her fans.
But Greg was stumped.
In the clip posted to his Instagram, the host can be seen reading the news and in a moment of bafflement, said: “Oh, for God sake Taylor.

“Ten minutes into the breakfast show and she’s just released another album.”
Laughing, he said that now that the pop star has dropped a secret release, that ‘there’s going to be no one listening’ to his show and promptly stood up in a dramatic display.
Clearly knowing the power that Taylor holds on the music industry and the public, he said that there’s ‘no point’ in continuing the show and that even he was going to go and give the album a listen, telling the crew that they’ll ‘reconvene in a couple of hours’.

The host then appeared to leave the studio and commenters online found his joke hilarious and decided to troll him further.
Commenting on the Instagram post, Greg wrote: “Welcome to The Tortured DJs Department. No point anyone trying to put anything else out into the world today is there.
"We don’t stand a chance against a DOUBLE TAYLOR SWIFT ALBUM. Congrats on it though”.
Commenters found this hilarious and gave the BBC 1 DJ tips to keep up with Taylor’s music.
Someone wrote: “You could have just played both albums for the whole show.”
Another person was insistent that they are loyal to Taylor and Taylor only: “Yeah sorry Greg, we got lyrics to learn.”
A third user commented: “Sorry Greg, I'll be back with you on Monday.”
One person even tagged the music legend herself to rub salt in Greg’s wound: “@taylorswift You’re on it Girl !! Smashed a double album and brought chaos to a Breakfast show Yes !!! Just finished listening to Album 1 and Boom!! Along comes another to delay my day! Perfect.
“Enjoy celebrating Swifties.”
