Netflix viewers notice huge blunder in new Christmas thriller that's dubbed the ‘best film of 2024’

Netflix viewers notice huge blunder in new Christmas thriller that's dubbed the ‘best film of 2024’

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted a mistake in one particular scene

If you've already watched Netflix's latest movie - which has been dubbed the 'best film of 2024' - you might have spotted a blunder in one particular scene.

Sharing a video of the 'error', one viewer said: "Netflix really thought no one would notice this mistake."

While most of us are used to festive films being romanced-based, if you're looking for something a little more gritty, look no further than Carry-On.

Starring Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman, and Sofia Carson, the film has already climbed its way up to the streamer's 'No.1 in Films Today' ranking.

The plot follows a young airline security guard named Ethan Kopek, played by Kingsman actor Egerton, who is blackmailed by a mysterious passenger (Bateman) who threatens to smuggle a dangerous package onto a plane on Christmas Eve.

And so far, it's had rave reviews, with viewers agreeing it's a must-watch this festive season.

The film is said to be inspired by the Bruce Willis classic, Die Hard (Netflix)

But despite everyone gushing about the movie, one viewer did notice a rather obvious blunder in a particular scene.

Sharing the moment on TikTok, @floridafitbrit said: "My husband caught this while watching and he had me cackling as I secretly recorded... we recommend watching Netflix’s new film Carry-On, very enjoyable especially, if like me, you know that Die Hard IS a Christmas film. Imo its got some serious 90s vibes!!!

"Sad to say this is our first Christmas film we’ve watched for the festive season! Geez we’re slackin! We did spot this slight continuity error though and as parents of bald kiddos when they were babies we love to see em!"

You can watch the clip below, but please note it contains some strong language.

In the video, the couple pointed out that when the woman is walking through airport security with her baby son, the infant appeared to have brown hair.

But after she appears again moments later, the baby has barely any hair at all.

"Look at that balda** baby, that's a different baby," says the man in the clip.

The inconsistency has led many to believe that a different baby was probably used in the two different scenes.

Viewers found it pretty amusing, with one commenting on the video: "Lmao I just watched it last night and didn't catch this."

And another said: "For someone who’s so observant, how did i miss this when i watched the movie."

Tyla has reached out to Netflix for comment.

You can catch Carry-On on Netflix now.
