While we may have a brand new season of I'm A Celebrity to rattle through alongside rounding off the Great British Bake Off and kickstarting the inaugural Harry Potter movie marathon on the run-up to Christmas - it's clear there are a bunch of other cracking shows to sink your teeth into while the weather makes it simply too cold to leave the comfort of your sofa.
In fact, there's one series which first hit our screens some years back in 2019 boasting a star-studded cast of some very familiar British faces including the likes of Mark Strong, Daniel Mays, Tobi King Bakare and Craig Parkinson.
However, Netflix viewers seem to be somewhat divided over just how incredibly gory it is while still somehow managing to be 'strangely watchable'.

In fact, the two-season-strong series, originally produced by Sky, is currently sitting in the prestigious 'No.2 in TV Programmes Today' spot on the streamer - so you know it must be good.
Set in London, the plot follows a surgeon played by Strong who sets up an illegal clinic in the tunnels beneath Temple tube station in a desperate bid to save his dying wife.
However, he must fund his illicit operation by treating criminals and other desperate patients who cannot seek help from regular medical facilities.

But, when the secrecy of his clinic is threatened after a series of stressful albeit exciting events, the surgeon faces a race to save his wife's life.
The series is none other than Temple and you can watch the official trailer here:
Netflix viewers across the globe have since rushed to social media to praise the drama since it was added to the streaming platform yesterday (18 November).

"Saw the first episode. Decided it was too gory to continue," admitted a second.
Another said: "Temple on Netflix is the best series I’ve watched this year."

A confused viewer added: "Temple - Netflix. Not sure if it's the most stupid thing on TV, or a work of genius. I'll keep watching and let you know."
Temple is currently available to stream on Netflix.
