Big Brother, perhaps the most iconic reality show of all time, is back and viewers have already been singing its praises after the 'twist' was revealed.
The TV show, which features a number of people being sequestered in the eponymous Big Brother house for potentially weeks on end, kicked off tonight (6 October).
Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best have been introducing the latest batch of housemates that we'll either love or judge for the next six weeks, and so far, it's looking good.

Despite the excitement over the latest season landing, people have reacted to the 'twist'.
In preparation, it seemed some were unsure.
One wrote X: "We love an unnecessarily overcomplicated twist on launch night #BBUK."

Another added: "You know what would be great an opening night without a stupid twist ... let things naturally play out #BBUK."
Eventually, the hosts revealed that the twist was hooked to the idea of 'red and blue' early on in the show.
Housemates had to take their place on a red side or blue side.
It was eventually revealed to be that the blue side were housemates, whereas those on the red side were placed in 'storage'.

All non-housemates were then told they would be up for the first eviction.
After this was revealed, one person wrote: "OH WHAT A TWIST #BBUK."
Another said: "I’m not going to lie. I LOVE that twist. What makes it better is half the house is in storage."

A third praised: "Great twist #BBUK."
While someone else commented: "Yasssss a fantastic launch night! I'm liking the lineup and I liked the cheeky twist from Big Brother at the end too!"
Aside from all of this drama, viewers were shocked to learn that Joey Essex would make a sort-of appearance.
He was confirmed to be making an appearance on Late & Live, the spin-off show that takes place after Big Brother itself.

Clips showed Joey feeling very impressed with the look of the place, calling it 'sick,' reminiscent of his The Only Way is Essex days.
He even took the seized the opportunity to get some rest in one of the luxurious looking double beds.
After surveying the place, Joey admitted he 'loved it' and joked he would 'put in an offer'.
Time will tell.
Joey's involvement with Big Brother has left viewers surprised, after taking part in the latest season of Love Island earlier this year, which he went on to state was his last reality appearance for a while.
He told This Morning following his exit from the villa: "I'm taking a huge break, you know, I feel like I've done every reality show possible now.
"I don't think I really want to do Strictly. I'm just taking a break and I've got some opportunities over in America at the moment so I feel like I maybe might take it over there."
