Big Brother viewers have been calling for one housemate’s ejection after his sexist comments sparked outrage online.
Airing on ITV2, series 21 of the reality TV show seems to have picked his ‘villain’ for the season, as fans have labelled one contestant’s remarks ‘misogynistic’ and have been asking producers to intervene.
Premiered on October 6, this is the second civilian series to air on ITV2 since the show was revived after previously airing on Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Like the previous seasons of Big Brother, the current edition sees 16 contestants moving into the most-watched house in the whole of the UK to live together for a total of 41 days.
Only a few weeks into the show, viewers have been less than impressed with contestant Marcello Spooks’ attitude in the house.
His sexist quips have earned him a reputation online, with many urging Big Brother to remove the 34-year-old rapper from East London.

More recently, Marcello made a sexist remark about fellow housemate Sarah Griffiths, noting she was a vegan, and her ‘PH levels were probably off’.
The comment sent shockwaves through fans online, with some finding it ‘funny’, and others pointing out that allowing this behaviour to continue without being addressed by producers and hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best may be damaging to the show.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), users have been voicing their disbelief at Marcello’s comment, with one person writing that he 'has to be reprimanded for that PH comment alone, never mind all the other instances of inappropriate behaviour’.
“Marcello is extremely disgusting for that PH level comment, is Big Brother just never going to pull him up for his misogynistic ways??”, another comment read.

“Someone get this sexist, predatory arsehole off the television. The whole group associated with Marcello need to be punished, laughing in the face of blatant SEXIST remarks are trademarks of bullying. Get them all gone,” someone else wrote.
Another said: “Honestly, the amount of remarks that leave his mouth that are crude, sexist and borderline predatory is beyond belief. He should not be on TV.”
Finally, one viewer branded Marcello’s comment ‘unneeded’, writing: “can [Marcello] just apologize properly because DAMN that PH comment was so unneeded did he forget he’s up for #nomination."
This isn’t the first instance where Marcello’s behaviour in the Big Brother house has raised some eyebrows.

He previously put fellow housemate Ali Bromley in an uncomfortable position when he suggested that exchanging one another’s vapes was ‘vape kissing’ and bragging about locking lips with her.
Ali, who has a girlfriend of five months, tried to defuse the situation, but Marcello insisted ‘you know what you were doing’ by being alone with him.
Tyla has reached out to ITV for comment.
Big Brother airs on ITV2 and ITVX from Sundays through Fridays.
