Prepare to have your feathers ruffled as the trailer for Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget has dropped.
The long-awaited sequel has finally flown the coop and is expected to land on Netflix later this year.
And if that weren’t enough to get fans clucking, the first trailer sees the return of many beloved characters from the original film. Take a look below:
The trailer sees the return of Rocky (Zachary Levi) and Ginger (Thandiwe Newton) at the head of the flock.

Having hatched the escape in the first movie, the couple are now enjoying life on their peaceful island sanctuary and even welcome their own little chick, Molly (Bella Ramsey).
Across the waters though, danger still lurks on the mainland and threatens every chick in the land.
As the cracks in their idyllic life being to show, the pair must hatch a plan to break into a high security farm to defeat the evil Mrs. Tweedy.
The Netflix film also sees the return of fan favourites Fowlers (David Bradley), Bunty (Imelda Staunton), and Babs (Jane Horrocks).

While fans have waited over twenty years for a sequel to the Aardman animation, the new movie has already ruffled a few feathers.
Controversially, Mel Gibson and and Julia Sawalha, who played Rocky and Ginger respectively, have been replaced.
Given how much controversy Gibson has faced since Chicken Run's original release in 2000, it might not be surprising that he was not cast in the sequel.

However, fans were confused as to why Sawalha is absent from the follow-up film.
Back in 2020 Sawalha released a statement about being replaced.
It read: "Last week I was informed out of the blue, via email, through my agent that I would not be cast as Ginger in the Chicken Run sequel. The reason they gave is that my voice now sounds 'too old' and they want a younger actress to reprise the role.

"Usually in these circumstances, an actress would be given the chance to do a voice test in order to determine the suitability of their pitch and tone. I, however, was not given this opportunity."
Though her recasting may have left fans feeling a little ruffled, there is a huge amount of hype about the sequel.
The premiere take place at the BFI London Film Festival in October, with the film arriving on Netflix in December - just in time for Christmas!
Chicken Run: Dawn of The Nugget will be available to stream on Netflix from 15 December.
