Fans of television dating shows have been dying for something new to sink their teeth into for some time.
With the first ever series of Love Island: All Stars already drawing to an end, a fresh instalment of Married At First Sight UK not airing until much later this year and Celebs Go Dating taking a break, reality TV appeared to be drying up.
Over the weekend, however, US broadcaster NBC launched a never-before-seen romance series, which set tongues wagging all over the world within MINUTES of taking to our screens.

This bizarre new dating concept has forced viewers to forget everything they thought they knew about finding love on television.
Instead, it is based on the suggestion to 'spice up' your love life with a third partner.
The brand new series - which can be streamed on Peacock - sees four already-formed couples thrown into a breath-taking tropical island result, where they'll each 'turn fantasy into a reality'.

Each pairing will be joined by one (of 14) bombshell singletons, who are keen to strike a connection and turn the duo into a trio.

We are, of course, talking about Couple To Throuple, which has already triggered a hugely varied reaction amongst mind-blown viewers - despite only being one episode in.

Romantic ties have already been put to the test - with members of couples being more keen than their other-halves to invite another lover into their relationship.
Over the next 10 episodes, viewers will observe which couples resign to the fact they only have eyes for each other, and which couples decide polyamorous affairs are the way forward.
While the show sounds like the perfect combination of the chaos of Too Hot to Handle, the high-tension of Love Is Blind and the beautiful scenery of Ex on the Beach, it doesn't sound as though some viewers are wholly convinced.

"Mannnn this s**t is W I L D A S F!" one confused fan penned.
Another tweeted: "Couple to Throuple is wild AF!! Ain’t no way!!"
A third begged producers: "The new show Couple to Throuple makes me cringe as much or more than Wife Swap. Sooooo gross.
"@nbc @peacock. Please cancel it. I’m not a conservative and I’m sex positive but this is cringe."

"Omg people are f**king on live tv," a third, seemingly grossed-out viewer observed.
Others, however, can't seem to get enough of the new show.
"Oh Couple to Throuple is messsyyyyy…I love it," one admitted.
Another wrote: "Saying this show is messy is NOT the proper compliment it deserves. This is what we love to see"
"This Couple to Throuple show is kinda wild! I wasn’t ready lol" a third gushed.
Another begged: "Can y’all watch Couple to Throuple with me please??? I was HOOKED last night lmao. I need to discuss this with friends."
Tyla contacted Peacock for a comment.
