That's because it looks as though Coldplay singer Chris Martin has popped the question to long-term actor girlfriend, Dakota Johnson.

That's right, according to The Mirror, the Fifty Shades of Grey front-woman has been secretly lugging around an engagement ring behind-the-scenes, with the British musician allegedly having proposed some years ago.
On top of this, the loved-up couple - who have kept the ins and outs of their relationship under wraps since they began dating six years ago - have apparently already gotten the full blessing of Chris' Hollywood star ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he shares daughter Apple, 19, and son Moses, 17.
According to multiple news outlets, Chris, 47, and Madam Web bombshell Dakota, 34, first met through mutual friends back in 2017 - the same year they were papped together for the very first time.
Dakota later told Vanity Fair in 2022 that the duo 'never really left each other' since that fateful day.

Father-of-two Chris had only divorced his former flame, Academy Award-winning actor Gwyneth, months before he and his new love interest went official.
Despite new relationships promptly coming after a divorce often causing tension amongst families in the celebrity world, Gwyneth, 51, has reportedly thrown the notion of the bitter ex-wife out of the window and is happy to see her former husband moving on.
In fact, she and Dakota are reported to have struck up quite the close friendship since the couple got together, with Gwyneth previously posting a hand-in-hand snap alongside the How To Be Single actress on social media.

Dakota previously said of the public's thoughts on the sweet photo: "I’m glad there was that positive reaction. I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in the saying ‘Blood is thicker than water.’"
Adding of their friendship, she went on: "The actual saying is ‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb’ which means the people you choose are more solid than the connections to the people you’re actually born to."
The brunette also previously claimed she loves Chris and Gwyneth's children like her 'life defends on it'.

"With all my heart," she said of the young duo, before adding: "How do I feel about motherhood? I’m so open to that. I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer.
"And especially being a woman, I’m like: ‘What a magical f***ing thing to do. What a crazy, magical, wild experience. If that’s meant to happen for me, I’m totally down for it.
"We’re not here for very long, so if I’m meant to be a mother, bring it on."

By the sounds of it, however, she and Chris will be tying the knot before they welcome anymore additions into their family.
According to The Mirror: "The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles.
"They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable."
The publication added, however, that the pair are 'in no rush to plan the wedding, but are just enjoying making their commitment official'.
As mentioned, the news comes just five months after Dakota was papped brandishing a huge emerald engagement ring at her 34th birthday in LA last October.
