Ariana Grande has revealed details about Glinda's sexuality in Wicked, after fans start 'shipping' her and Elphaba in the film.
You may have been living under a rock if you haven't seen snippets of the wildly emotional press tour that Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have gone on ahead of Wicked's release.
The highly-anticipated movie was released in cinemas last Friday (November 22), and it's safe to say that it has been a complete hit with fans, who have branded it 'perfect'.

There is no denying the close relationship that has formed between the leading ladies throughout the process, as they said they have found a 'piece of one another' in each other.
But the witches have now spoken about their character's sexuality, after fans noticed the deep love that both Glinda and Elphaba have for each other.
Some have even 'shipped' the pair, prompting the actresses to shed light on their characters' relationship status.

In an interview with the Gay Times, Erivo said: "I think Elphie, she goes wherever the wind goes.
"I think she loves Glinda. I think she loves love.
"And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with celebrating the deep connection that both of them have. They do have a real relationship.
"It is true love, which is probably why people are shipping it, you know? Because what they build with each other is an unbreakable bond and love."

But Grande was a little more matter-of-fact about Glinda's sexuality, while still echoing the sentiment of Erivo.
She said: "[They are] just such a safe space for one another, which is what all relationships should be, whether it’s romantic or platonic.
"Glinda might be a little in the closet. You never know. Give it a little more time.

"I mean, it is just a true love, and I think that transcends sexuality.
"It’s just kind of a deep safety within each other. And that’s why [fans] probably ship it."
But the singer isn't the only person to have made the same revelation about the character of Glinda.
Kristin Chenoweth, who played the original good witch on Broadway, agreed.

Commenting on an Instagram post, she wrote: "I thought so too way back when."
Grande continued to open up about the general queerness that encapsulates Oz.
The star added: "Every day in the Emerald City is a Pride parade, right?
"Even the chickens… those chickens are gay."
Perhaps Wicked Part 2 will reveal more details...
