We're all absolutely buzzing to see what unfurls during the 82nd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (5 January)

Fans simply can't wait to tune into the 82nd Golden Globe Awards, which promise viewers a decadent celebration of the very best of film and TV.

This year, we can look forward to a bunch of Hollywood A-listers strutting their stuff on the red carpet, making memorable speeches and even giving us a glimpse into some behind-the-scenes antics with the likes of Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Timothée Chalamet and many more being nominated for various categories.

So without further ado, let's get into everything you need to know when it comes to how to watch this year's Golden Globes.

When is the Golden Globes 2025?

This year's eagerly-anticipated awards ceremony will air on Sunday (5 January) at 8pm (ET) which is around 1am (GMT) here in the UK.

Where is the Golden Globes 2025 streaming?

Unfortunately, this year's Golden Globes ceremony won't be available to stream on Netflix, but it will be airing live on CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime.

While standard subscription costs £7.99 per month, savvy viewers can use the seven-day free trial to watch the evening's events.

Paramount+ Essential subscribers can also stream the ceremony on-demand later.

If you're in the US, you can also watch the ceremony on live TV streaming service carrying CBS, like Hulu + Live TV and Sling TV - some of which come with free trials.

But, in order to do so, you'll need a US payment method to sign up for these subscriptions. So if you’re elsewhere in the world, you'll need to check out some alternative and free methods.

Where to watch the Golden Globes 2025 online for free?

If you're not keen on shelling out the £7.99 for a Paramount+ subscription or simply don't trust yourself to cancel the free trial in time, you can always watch the Golden Globes on-demand for free on Australia’s Channel 10’s streaming platform, 10Play.

This is becauseChannel 10 will broadcast the ceremony live, but it will be available after the live stream on-demand on 10Play.

Again, however, it's important to note that this particular service is geoblocked to Australia - meaning that if you’re overseas, you may need to look into sorting yourself a VPN.

How to watch the Golden Globes 2025 free online with a VPN?

A VPN, which stands for virtual private network, works by giving your device a new address in a different location which is super handy when it comes to streaming programmes on certain platforms which are otherwise geoblocked from where you're watching.
