I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! viewers were left cringing after Dean McCullough made an unexpectedly early mention of the infamous 'Wagatha Christie' trial to fellow contestant Coleen Rooney.
Following a tongue in cheek remark made about the 2022 trial by ITV presenters Ant and Dec within minutes of the show kicking off tonight, Dean also addressed Coleen's courtroom battle with fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, which hit headlines ceaselessly since their initial falling out in 2019.

The Radio One DJ made the quip as he selected mum-of-four Coleen to be partnered up with during the initial challenge.
Out of a line-up of stranded celebs, the radio favourite stormed immediately up to the Liverpool legend before grabbing her hand, running off with her and yelling out, 'Wagatha Christie, you're coming with me!', referencing the iconic nickname given to the WAGs' notorious spat.
And let's just say, the comment went down a hoot with viewers - as well as Coleen, who herself let out a stream of laughs afterwards.

Sharing a stream of laughing emojis, one teased: "Did Dean actually say 'Wagatha Christie you’re coming with me'".
"As if Dean has dropped the Wagatha bomb this early - 'Wagatha Christie you're coming with meeee'," another added.

A third added: "Dean labelling Coleen 'Wagatha Christie' when picking her to pair up with him how awkward but iconic".
'Wagatha Christie' explained
For those in need of a little reminder about the shock libel trial, the pair first butted-heads all the way back in 2019.
Coleen left her fans shook by revealing that she'd been playing detective for several weeks, and had discovered that someone in her close circle and footballing other-halves had been selling stories on her personal life to The Sun.

She claimed she'd been adding 'suspects' to her privatised 'Close Friends' stories on Instagram one by one, before sharing fabricated aspects of her relationship with hubby Wayne Rooney to see which would hit the headlines - eventually name-dropping Rebekah online.
Rebekah accused Coleen of defaming her over the internet, and launched a court case which - despite Coleen winning - would leave them squabbling over legal fees right up until today.
That said, however, Coleen has seemingly profited from the debacle in many other ways - having featured on the cover of Vogue, inspired a West End play about the drama, and released a Disney+ documentary telling her story.

She's also said to be the most highly-paid star from this year's series.
So we can only expect more 'Wagatha Christie' jokes to come.
