I’m A Celeb’s Maura Higgins has a pretty awkward connection to her fellow campmate Barry McGuigan as the pair will soon be reunited following her entrance to the jungle earlier this week.
On Wednesday's episode (20 November), ITV finally announced the former Love Islander as one of the two latecomers to the series alongside former BBC radio host, Reverend Richard Coles.
And prior to her entry, she'd issued a warning to her fellow campmates.
"I'm still the same kind of girl but I'm not going to go in and annihilate anyone." Maura said when discussing how she'd 'matured' from her Love Island days.

"However, if someone gets on my nerves, I'm not really one to hold it in. I do speak my mind. If someone patronised me, I get really irritated.
"Like, that's one thing that really drives me mad."
So, what might happen when she meets up with Barry McGuigan?

In case you didn't know, Maura used to date boxing coach Shane McGuigan, who she met when he was commentating on a match in 2018 during her stint as a ring girl.
However, things reportedly didn’t work out between the pair due to the distance.
But how will she feel about his dad, Barry, being in the camp with her now they are no longer together?
Well, according to a source, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue as the relationship supposedly wasn't that serious.

As per The Sun, a insider at the time said: "They went on a few dates and had fun, but Maura lives in Ireland.
"Shane is running his successful boxing gym in London, and then she was travelling for work, so it wasn’t easy to pull off."
Maura also previously revealed her biggest fears when it came to being on I'm A Celeb, telling The Mirror: "I have no clue what time it is, I don't know where I am.

"In fact, I've done the opposite of preparing myself [for the jungle]. I've tried not to think about it, because when I think about it, I get so much anxiety."
She added: "I just don't want to let people down, because everyone's been DMing me, saying 'Oh my God, I hope you're doing the show'.
"I don't want to back out of the trials and be the biggest wimp in the camp."
Tyla has previously contacted Higgin's representatives for comment.
