I’m A Celeb’s Tulisa clears up ‘fake campmate’ comment after seemingly taking swipe at co-stars after jungle exit

The N-Dubz star took to Instagram to share a candid admission to her fans

I’m A Celebrity's Tulisa has cleared up her 'fake campmate' comment following her jungle exit.

ITV viewers were pretty stunned following Monday's episode (2 December), when the 36-year-old N-Dubz star was named the third campmate to be sent home, joining Dean McCullough and Jane Moore.

During her post-exit interview with Ant and Dec, Tulisa star described her time in the jungle as 'tough' and called the whole experience a 'whirlwind'.

Then, yesterday morning (3 December), Tulisa told Lorraine Kelly on live television that she'd only made friends with a handful of her fellow celebrity campmates, but held several reservations about others.

When asked if she'd made life-long friends on the show, she confessed: "I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out."

She went on to tease: "Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We'll see...".

The 'Girls' singer was also asked exactly which stars she'd formed close bonds with in the jungle to which she only name-dropped a chosen few - Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, Love Island's Maura Higgins, television presenter Melvin Odoom, and Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse.

Tulisa has since addressed said comments, stating in an Instagram video posted earlier today (4 December): "I just want to clarify I do not think any of my campmates are fake. I was having a conversation on Lorraine and what I was trying to say it - typical me just thinking out loud - is that everyone in there is gonna have one or two individuals that they’re way more close with than others and that when we get out is when you’re really going to see those friends get nurtured and really become your friends for life."

She assured I'm A Celeb fans: "I'm friends with everyone. I love my jungle buddies, I love my jungle fam. But there are going to be friendships that people have that really, really get nurtured and become something that is, 'wow this is a friend for life.'"

With regards to why she's wiped all trace of the show from her social media, Tulisa said: "Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening my friends went to bed.

"I was on my Instagram trying to have a nice little scroll at some funny stuff.

"I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding in all the most positive way.

"But because it's been a while for me I can get overwhelmed quite easily."

She added: "And I just started to feel overwhelmed. I thought do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill.

"This is all feeling just a little bit much at the moment. I'm just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle."

She continued: "Then when the time is right and I've had a little time to process I'm going to make my own reels of all my best bits I really like."
