John Cena has recalled filming an 'awkward' sex scene with his Trainwreck co-star Amy Schumer - and she has responded.
Trainwreck is a 2015 romantic sex comedy film written by and starring Amy Schumer as Amy, while John Cena plays Steven, her love interest and a gym addict.
The plot revolves around Amy and her heavy drinking, party girl ways, while she works for a men's magazine column in New York City.

Aside from the A-list names of Schumer and Cena, the film has an ensemble cast with many more including Brie Larson, Bill Hader and LeBron James.
The film was a success with critics, scoring 83 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Many viewers lauded its no nonsense approach to sex scenes, of which there are many.

One includes Amy sleeping with Steven in a scene which is funny rather than passionate.
Appearing on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast, Cena opened up about his time on the Trainwreck set.
He said: "Amy is an angel, she made the environment so comfortable, and then when I got the part, eventually they were like, 'Yeah, it's a sex scene. We want you to do elaborate and crazy stunt sex, and all those lines you had? We're probably not going to use them, we're just going to do this stunt sex scene'."

He was then pressed on whether or not filming a sex scene is difficult, he responded: "Oh my God, it's the worst."
He added: "This is the thing - right now, you guys at home think it's just us. No, there's a whole f*****g world back here", before pointing out the crew at the podcast recording.
Cena then adds there were even more people on set while filming his sex scene with Schumer.
He added: "This is like a great production. But dude, man, catering was right there, and the sound tent was right there.

"There are so many people you need to make a movie. There is nothing intimate about it. Nothing. So it's real embarrassing, and on top of that, to do a comedic sex scene when you're making fun of yourself - they were literally like, 'Try to have the most awkward sex you possibly can'.
"And with an audience watching that, it's different. I don't want to say it sucks. It's just different than you all think it is."
Comedy queen Schumer then swooped in on Instagram Stories to confront Cena over his comments.

She posted a video of herself in bed, overlayed with the tongue in cheek caption: "John, how dare you. That sex scene meant a lot to me and I was, like, very into it. And I'm in love with you."
