Kate Winslet has revealed the one flick she’s recognised for more than any other - and no, it’s surprisingly not Titanic.
Winslet, 48, famously starred as Rose DeWitt Bukater in the 1997 romance-disaster epic, which went on to thrust her into global stardom after becoming one of the highest grossing films ever made.
It even landed her an Oscar nod for Best Actress, which eventually went to Helen Hunt for As Good as it Gets - not that James Cameron’s efforts left empty-handed, as Titanic won 11 of the 14 awards it was nominated for, tying with 1959’s Ben Hur for the highest number of Academy Awards won by a single film.

But while the film marked one of Winslet’s most memorable roles, it turns out this isn’t what she’s most often recognised for.
The actor has a huge back catalogue of high-brow titles to her name, from Jane Austen adaptation Sense and Sensibility and 2008’s poignant 50s film Revolutionary Road through to indie sci-fi flick Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and WWII drama The Reader.
It’s not any of these that people most often remember her for, though - it's actually something a whole lot lighter.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Winslet revealed the flick that people usually recognise her from is The Holiday, the festive rom-com also starring Cameron Diaz, Jack Black and Jude Law.
She said people will also sometimes mention her cameo appearance in Extras, the British sitcom created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
“People come up to me in the street more about The Holiday and the episode of Extras that I did than Titanic,” she told host Jimmy Fallon.
“I promise you. Especially at Christmas.”

She continued: “And actually what’s so lovely is that mothers and daughters come up to me in the grocery store and they say, ‘Oh Kate, we just love The Holiday, it’s our little ritual at Christmas’.
“And they have things that they eat every year, they sit down, it’s a tradition, and I just love that.
“That’s something I never would have expected, actually - the sort of mother-daughter connection around a film like that.

“It’s so nice. It’s lovely.”
Mentioning that, alongside Titanic, Winslet also starred in Avatar: The Way of Water, Fallon told her: “You’re in two of the biggest films ever made!”
Winslet then admitted that she often forgets she’s even in Avatar, having not been as involved in the franchise as other stars like Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver.
“I forgot I’m in Avatar!” she joked.

“But it’s just incredible. I've just felt so blessed to have had this amazing career, but also just to meet these phenomenal people.”
