Despite not being one of this year's contestants, MAFS UK star Alfie has gone on to become a fan-favourite amongst viewers.
And whilst he might not appear in every episode - showing up sporadically to give his best friend Polly Sellman's on-screen beau Adam Valentine a telling off - his presence on the show has left a batch of viewers making one plea to Married At First Sight producers.
Viewers got their first taste of Alfie just hours into the 2024 love experiment after he flew to Polly's defence after catching wind of several hurtful remarks being made about her by 'husband' Adam Valentine.

"The initial attraction's not 100 percent there," Polly's groom shockingly confessed at the time. "She's not my usual type.
"10 out of 10 for me would be petite, brunette, dark features, tan."
Spotting the lack of compliments in Polly's direction, Alfie demanded to know the truth before filling his BFF in on all the red-flags he'd observed so far before comforting her after she broke down in tears.
Adam has also previously been slammed for his 'vile' behaviour towards Polly whilst on their honeymoon, and has given some sofa critics 'the ick' over his 'shameful' reaction to another bride's appearance.

Ever since their nuptials, however, Polly's pal Alfie has remained formidable in the face of Adam's dubious remarks.
In fact, he made a point of confronting him earlier in the series about getting intimate with his bestie before going on to give her the cold shoulder.
And Alfie's consistent relationship advice throughout the duration of the reality TV hit has even earned him the praise of countless viewers.

So much so, that many are imploring for him to be added to Channel 4's roster of match-makers.
Taking to the online discussion forum Reddit this week, one fan of the show made the suggestion.
"He's been spot on with his reservations and suggestions," they penned. "He can see straight through Polly's attempts to down play the reality of the situation."
Another wrote: "Regardless of my opinion of Polly, what an absolute gem of a friend she's got."

"He’s so wise," a third gushed. "He’s also got her back for sure. A brilliant friend."
Another added: "Legit has way better advice than the 'experts'".
"Alfie for president of the USA!" a fifth joked.

Sadly, however, not everyone is in agreement.
"He's that sort of negative friend who will always tell you to dump / move on from a person just so that they can either 1) Keep you for themselves 2) Cause doubt in a persons mind just for drama," one alleged.
A second claimed: "He fits their qualification level too 'desperate for some TV moments' - I reckon he and Mel would be battling for the camera."
