It celebrates the 25th anniversary of his hugely successful solo career, which took off after he found fame as part of pop group Take That in the early 1990s.
While there’s no release date just yet, the streamer has said it’s ‘coming soon’, meaning we’ll hopefully get some great throwback viewing for the inevitably TV-heavy sofa season of Autumn/Winter 2023/24.
A synopsis says: “Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his solo career, this is the definitive 4-part documentary series on the most successful UK solo artist of all time.

“Featuring hundreds of hours of intimate, never-before-seen personal archive spanning 30 years, exclusive access to Robbie and helmed by an acclaimed filmmaking team including Asif Kapadia as an EP; this culture-defining series is the first of its kind to explore the real human being behind the salacious headlines.”
Williams posted the teaser trailer, which dropped today and is set to his hit song ‘Rock DJ’, on his own Instagram page, writing in the caption: “The new 4-part documentary series, including 30 years of unseen footage. ROBBIE WILLIAMS - coming soon on Netflix…”
One old clip shows a young Williams ready to head on stage, with a voice off camera asking if he’s ready.

“Nah,” he replies, adding: “I really wish I did something else for a living!”
In another part, Williams says ‘there was jealousy’ during his successful career, but it looks like we’ll have to watch the documentary before we can find out who he’s talking about...
Naturally, the trailer left fans incredibly excited for the series to drop, with one writing: “Can’t wait... although I predict tears, happiness, tears, happiness… a rollercoaster of emotion.”
