Many Bridgerton fans rattled through the first part of the latest season in next to no time at all and are now itching for their next period drama fix in the interim waiting for the second part to finally drop on Netflix next month (13 June).
Well, luckily for you, there's a bunch of cracking period dramas you can devour while waiting for the latest instalment of the 'ton.
One of which is particularly 'intense' and is even being hailed as 'better than Bridgerton'.

And the best part? It's completely free to stream online.
The series, which first hit our screens back in 2007, is set primarily in 16th-century England and while it's named after the extremely eventful Tudor dynasty as a whole, it is based specifically upon the reign of the infamous King Henry VIII.
Yep, the one with six wives.

It follows the scandalous life of the young king whose affairs and obsession with having a male heir changed the state of marriage, England's relationship with the church and, pretty much, the entire rest of the world.
It stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Katherine of Aragon, Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn, Anita Briem and Annabelle Wallis as Jane Seymour, Joss Stone as Anne of Cleves, Tamzin Merchant as Catherine Howard and Joely Richardson as Catherine Parr.
All 38 episodes are currently available to stream on Channel 4 - making it perfect for a proper good binge-watching sesh.

If you hadn't guessed it already, the series is none other than The Tudors.
One X, formerly Twitter, user called The Tudors 'fantastic' while a second asked:
"Has anyone seen The Tudors and is there intense sex scenes or is it family-friendly?"
A third then replied: "V intense yes."

"The Tudors and Bridgerton parallels, where the Duke is more attractive than the King," pointed out a fourth. "I'm like: 'IMMA MARRY THE DUKE. LET THE KING FIND ANOTHER. WHO CARES ABOUT TITLES, ANYWAY'."
And a final Twitter user penned: "Maybe I’m just a period piece snob after watching Marie Antoinette 30+ times since it’s release...
"But I really don’t feel Bridgerton was worth the hype. Reign & even The Tudors were much better productions, in terms of historical TV dramas."
