If you're struggling to find the right artificial Christmas tree for your home, it might just need a little height boost.
Thankfully, one mum was on hand to demonstrate how to do this with a simple yet genius hack.
As the years go by, more and more people are turning to artificial trees as it means you don't have to keep replacing it every year.

What's more, they're easier to install, you don't have to worry about vacuuming needles and they're cheaper.
And then there's the fact that there's no risk of those terrifying tree clumps making their way into your home - the less said about that, the better.
But what do you do if your fake tree is just a little too short for your liking, but the next size up is too big and expensive?
Fret not, as TikToker April Wagner has come up with the perfect trick.

As is shown in her recent video, the mum-of-four describes the 'super easy fix to make your tree taller'. She starts off by showing a pack of four heavy duty bed risers, which you can get on Amazon for as little as £12.99 - or cheaper if you go to a budget store.
After turning them the right side up, she places each leg of the Christmas tree stand inside the risers, which gives the festive fixture a boost in the height department.
April finishes it off by placing the base inside of a wicker basket for decorative effect, and I think most would agree the finished product looks beautiful.

The post has received nearly 5,000 likes as well as dozens of comments from people praising the 'genius idea'.
"Thank you for sharing this! Love this idea," wrote one, while another said, "Love this."
A third who tried it out for themselves added: "I did this, I will post pictures soon. Ty I had a 7.5 tree now I have a taller tree ayyyeeeee."
When asked why she didn't just buy a taller tree, the TikToker explained: "Next size up is 9. My ceiling is 9. So I got a 7 1/2 ft use these and with an angel it’s perfect!"

Others came up with their own unique spin on the hack, including this person who said: "We use leftover paint cans."
Another wrote: "Throw a strand of LED lights and some pillow stuffing in that basket and it’ll glow. Just say’n."
Genius, eh? Now you've just got to make sure your pets don't knock the damn thing over, although April did reassure people that she's got two dogs and four kids and has ever had a problem.
