A freakishly 'human-robot' has been unveiled as a first of its kind, leaving people 'terrified'.
While many believe that we don't need to worry about life-like robots until far into the future, it seems as though concerns may need to be brought forward.
Earlier this week, Polish startup tech company Clone Robotics has unrelieved their 'human-robot', and it may be the most realistic one yet.

The 'Protoclone', as they have named it, was teased in a clip they posted on social media, and it's safe to say the human-ness of the limbs has got people quite concerned.
Experts have developed the robot to have pretty lifelike movements, thanks to synthetic muscles beneath translucent skin.

The company describe the robot as a 'faceless, anatomically accurate synthetic human' - and it looks like it's come straight from the set of a horror film.

'Protoclone' disturbingly has fake bones, joints, tendons and muscles that enable it to walk freely on two legs.
But the reaction from users to the teaser clip on X were mixed, with most stating that the creation was 'spooky'.
Some were more concerned about the lack of life in the face of the robot.
One said: "Can you just draw a smiley face on the head, please?"

Another claimed: "It's not human in any way, shape or form."
A third wrote: "We had a good run, fellow humans."
Directing their comment at the creators, one said: "While every normal person looks at dystopian sci-fi films as cautionary tales, nerds see them as instruction manuals."
Despite stating that the robot can walk on two legs, it is yet to demonstrate exactly how it looks while doing so.

Which, let's face it, is probably a positive thing.
Because we would all be doubly freaked out if it looks any more human-like than Tesla's bot Optimus, unveiled by Elon Musk in 2022.
But compared to its Tesla rival, it's safe to say that Protoclone has a much more human-like body shape, with the added addition of realistic movements.
According to Clone Robotic, their bot has '200 degrees of freedom', meaning that it actually is capable of 200 possible movements - another quite terrifying thought.

It also has over 200 sensors all over the body, giving great insight into its surroundings, as well as 1,000 different artificial muscle fibres.
