The alleged drunk driver who killed a bride hours after her wedding told police she’d ‘done nothing wrong’ when she was originally questioned at the scene.
Samantha and Aric Hutchinson had just tied the knot on 28 April in Folly Beach, South Carolina, and were leaving their wedding reception when the unthinkable happened.
Jamie Komoroski, 25, is said to have slammed her car into the back of the couple’s golf cart, causing it to roll over several times before coming to a stop 100 yards away.

Samantha, 34, was killed instantly from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash. Aric, 36, sustained a brain injury and several broken bones.
He has since undergone two surgeries and has now been released from hospital and started the ‘unimaginable’ task of planning his wife’s funeral.
Aric's brother-in-law Ben Garrett and nephew Brogan were also injured in the accident.

More than $700,000 has been raised on GoFundMe to help pay for the funeral and medical costs.
Komoroski was arrested and charged with three counts of DUI involving death or serious bodily injury and reckless homicide.
Police say she admitted to having two drinks before the accident, a beer and a tequila pineapple. Cops also claim she smelled of alcohol, but she refused to undergo a sobriety test.
She was allegedly 40mph over the speed limit, travelling at 65mph in a 25mph zone when she slammed into Aric and Sam’s golf cart.

In the arrest affidavit, she is said to have told police: “All the sudden something hit me. I did nothing wrong.”
Komoroski’s lawyers have since released a statement, claiming there is more to the story.
Nathan S. Williams and Christopher S. Gramiccioni told the Post & Courier: “We cannot fathom what the families are going through and offer our deepest sympathies.

“We simply ask that there not be a rush to judgement. Our court system is founded upon principles of justice and mercy and that is where all facts will come to light.”
In a heartbreaking interview, Samantha's mother, Lisa Miller, revealed the final words of the bride before she was tragically killed.
Speaking to WCIV, Lisa said: "On the beginning of the golf car ride, [Samantha] said, ‘I wish this night could go on forever.’
"The best night of her life.”

In the same interview, Lisa revealed the touching surprise her daughter had for her at the wedding.
“They announced a surprise dance for the most important person in Sam's life,” she said.
“Which was me and we danced to Bruno Mars. ‘Just The Way You Are’. That's our song."
