Nostradamus is a name you’ve probably heard of before, thanks to a series of prophecies he wrote during his life.
The French astrologer, whose full name is Michel de Nostradame, made a bunch of predictions in the 16th century, and people still marvel at his predictions to this day, as many of them have seemingly come true, including the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Great Fire of London.
But with that said, a lot of his predictions are quite vague and are open to interpretation.

However, that hasn’t stopped people from perceiving his words to mean he knew about major moments, including when Queen Elizabeth II would die.
Well, Nostradamus also had some startling predictions for 2025, including a major space event.
A colossal asteroid, known as the ‘Harbinger of Fate’, will apparently approach Earth, threatening to change life forever.

So, what did he write?
Nostradamus said: “From the cosmos, a fireball will rise, A harbinger of fate, the world pleads. Science and fate in a cosmic dance, The fate of the Earth, a second chance.”
There is no reason to panic about the immediate fate of Earth just yet, but there is a space object which will be tracked by NASA next year.

A small asteroid, called 2024 PT5, was observed for the first time on 7 August this year, by the Sutherland, South Africa telescope University of Hawai’i’s Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System.
It is estimated to be about 10 metres (33 feet) wide, and NASA said it does not pose a hazard to Earth. Due to the asteroid having a similar motion to Earth’s around the sun, it will ‘linger as a distant companion’ of our home planet ‘for a few months at a distance of about nine times farther away from Earth than the Moon’.
Asteroid 2024 PT5 therefore won’t be captured by Earth’s gravity, but NASA still has plans to track it using planetary radar during its next close pass with Earth in January.
It should remain about five times the distance between Earth and the moon. So on this occasion, it sounds like we have nothing to worry about.
