Donald Trump jokes were edited out of the BAFTAs broadcast, as David Tenant took brutal swipes at the president.
The Scottish actor was chosen to host the annual awards ceremony for the second time, and started off with a bang, as he made his way around London’s Royal Festival Hall singing 'I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)' by The Proclaimers.
He got several famous faces involved in the performance, including the likes of Selena Gomez and Anna Kendrick.

Much to the confusion of Kylie Jenner, who was introduced to British culture bit-by-bit the entire night.

One fan said: "Losing my mind watching Kylie Jenner seeing Wallace and Gromit win multiple awards, (as it should) and Take That perform."
The Doctor Who icon was cracking jokes aimed at celebrities all night, which happens fairly often at awards shows every year.

But it seems as though several jokes he made about Donald Trump were edited out of the coverage which was broadcast.
The show available on our screens last night (16 February), started at 7pm, two hours after the awards began.
This gives the BBC chance to trim some of the event down to work with timings.
According to Deadline, there were several mentions of the president during the live ceremony.

Tennant reportedly joked that it was unlikely that Trump had seen The Apprentice - which depicts the life of the president - because 'it’s a 15 [the film’s UK rating] and it’s not on Nickelodeon'.

He added: "Donald Trump. I’m worried. I’ve said his name three times. It’s like Beetlejuice - I have summoned him."
But not all of the Trump jokes were edited out, as viewers witnessed Tennant say his hair was 'the boldest architecture' in film - more so than The Brutalist.

He also referred to the president as a 'villain' as he compared him to 'Nosferatu, Hugh Grant in Heretic, and most chilling of all, [Wallace and Gromit's] Feather McGraw.'
While most of the host's jokes landed, it seems as though one gag left a celebrity rather confused.
Tennant couldn't resist making bringing up the viral Chalamet lookalike competition that took place in New York City in October last year.
Approaching Jenner and Chalamet sat in the audience, Tennant said: "Here is someone else who deserves a special mention.

"We're very lucky enough to be joined tonight by the runner-up in the recent Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest in New York. Welcome to the BAFTAs."
Shaking the actor's hand, he added: "There is a definite likeness there."
But Tennant didn't stop there.
He took things further, as he turned to Jenner and said: "Good attention to detail - you're with a Kylie Jenner lookalike!"
To which The Kardashians star replied: "It's me!"
Fans were quick to realise that it appeared Jenner hadn't quite understood the joke, as one said: "I genuinely think Kylie didn’t even get that joke."
