Donald Trump has just ordered one million people to leave the United States 'immediately' after they used a government app to enter the country legally.
The administration has now terminated temporary legal statuses for those who entered the country through the CBP One app which was first introduced under former president, Joe Biden.
The smartphone app in question was used by approximately 985,000 people seeking legal entry into the country before Trump made the decision to abruptly end the programme following his inauguration back in January.

Such individuals were generally allowed to remain in the US for two years with authorisation to work under a presidential authority called parole.
"It is time for you to leave the United States,” a message to CBP One applicants reads. "Again, DHS is terminating your parole. Do not attempt to remain in the United States — the federal government will find you.
"Please depart the United States immediately."

Authorities have not confirmed how many of these termination notices were sent to these CBP One users.
Kristi Noem's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) 'has full authority to revoke parole' a senior DHS spokesperson said in a statement to the Independent.
"Canceling these paroles is a promise kept to the American people to secure our borders and protect national security."
They added: "Formal termination notices have been issued, and affected aliens are urged to voluntarily self-deport using the CBP Home App.

"Those who refuse will be found, removed, and permanently barred from reentry."

Immigrants who received the message could face arrest and forced removal from the States if they do not leave on their own, according to DHS, as well as be met with steep fines.
The DHS announced that those who are in the US illegally and refuse to leave will be charged nearly $1,000 per day until they go with a spokesperson stating: "If they don't [leave], they will face the consequences.

"This includes a fine of $998 per day for every day that the illegal alien overstayed their final deportation order."
Prior to his January inauguration, Trump announced plans to embark on the 'largest deportation programme in history', vowing to deport 'maybe as many as 20 million' people.
"We will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places from which they came," he added.
Trump, the first convicted felon to serve in the presidential role, also elaborated by revealing that migrants accused of crimes would be the first targets of the policy.
