All eyes were on Kate Middleton today after she made an appearance at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day Service following her absence last year.
In March 2024, the Princess of Wales, 43, revealed that she'd be taking a temporary break from the public eye after having been diagnosed with cancer.
She also missed the event the year prior, in 2023, due to an unrelated issue.

Naturally, therefore, when spectators of this year's festivities caught wind of the mother-of-three's plans to attend, many body language experts opted to keep their eyes on Kate to see how she'd fare under the watchful eye of the public.
And as such, one lip reader has assessed a particular piece of footage of Kate from earlier today (10 March), which saw husband Prince William, 42, whispering something into her ear as they entered the religious landmark.

The Princess was photographed donning a breathtaking hot pink gown - designed by Catherine Walker - and hat by Gina Foster as she entered Westminster. It was then that she and William were welcomed by Dr David Hoyle, Dean of the Abbey.

According to lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman, a clip of the moment - which has since done the rounds on social media - sees Kate turning towards the person on her left and allegedly uttering the word, 'Thanks'.
She supposedly then turns to William, telling the future King the celebrations are 'so lovely'.
Freeman - who spoke exclusively to Tyla - claimed William then replies: "Not bad, right?"
It wasn't just Kate whose public appearance set tongues wagging earlier today, but her father-in-law, King Charles III's.

In February of last year - just weeks before the Princess broke the news of her diagnosis - Buckingham Palace announced that 76-year-old Charles had been diagnosed with cancer.
"During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted," a statement released at the time read.
"Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer."

The most recent update on the King's health came in September, when Palace officials stated that His Majesty's 'treatment has been moving in a positive direction and as a managed condition the treatment cycle will continue into next year'.
The message went on to add: "There is a sense of optimism, which can be seen in the King's desire to keep up a busy schedule of public engagements, including during the festive period."
Thankfully, however, it seems as though Kate is officially on the mend.
During a January visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea - where she previously received her treatment - the Princess confirmed that her cancer was now in remission.

"I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year," she gushed. "My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything."
Kate added: "We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional."
Tyla has contacted Kensington Palace for comment.
