Meghan Markle has now spoken out about Donald Trump’s new global tariffs and the possible impact it could have on her business.
The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex recently launched her As Ever brand last week (2 April) which saw several products sell out in no time at all to customers across the globe.
However, the launch came around the same time as the 78-year-old Republican leader's 'Liberation Day' announcement which saw Trump share his list of reciprocal tariffs he's set to impose on a number of nations all over the States.

Speaking to Fortune five days after the tariffs announcement on Monday (7 April), Meghan opened up about whether she reckons Trump's controversial economic decisions will affect As Ever, which sells a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb (worth $28), and a mix of hibiscus, peppermint, and lemon ginger herbal teas ($12 each).
"At the moment, all of our products are currently made in the US," she told the outlet.
The mum-of-two continued: "But as we look at the larger context of how this is going to affect the consumer day to day, I’m very grateful that in part of the conception of this brand, I wanted to create products that look more prestige, but are more accessible and affordable."

Meghan also shared her thoughts on how her brand may be impacted by a recession brought on from the tariffs announcement.
"I think during any time of recession, people still want to find creature comforts, items that can bring them joy," she added.
At the moment, As Ever is shipping domestically to all 50 states, with plans to expand internationally.

While some people have hit out over some of the brand's pricing, which currently sees available products priced from $9 to $28, Meghan aptly pointed out: "You’ll see the bulk of our SKUs are under $20.

"From our standpoint, certainly for me, even in the expansion of the brand, things should still feel accessible."
And As Ever - as well as her recent Netflix lifestyle series, which came out last month (4 March) - aren't the only project Meghan's taking on right now as, just yesterday (8 April), the first episode of her new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder dropped.

"I’m talking about what I’m going through as I’m going through it, not with reflection after some time, not with that different vision you can have when you think about hindsight 20/20," she told the outlet.
"While it created a very, very tight schedule… it just felt like the right move to do the storytelling justice."
