It seems as If there’s no love lost between Kim Cattrall and the cast of And Just Like That.
Cattrall, who played highly-sexed PR Samantha Jones in the original Sex and the City series, opted not to return for the reboot in part due to a well-documented feud between herself and co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker.
While Cattrall, 65, has not explicitly spoken out about And Just Like That, she has indicated towards her true feelings through the medium of Twitter likes.
And it’s safe to say, she’s not a fan.
After the release of sitcom How I Met You Father (which Cattrall stars in), the actor liked a few telling tweets on social media – and one has certainly caught fans’ eyes.
Cattrall liked a tweet which read: “So proud of @KimCattrall for skipping the trashy S&TC reboot and doing @HIMYFonHulu. She’s wonderful, and so is @HilaryDuff.
“If you have 48 minutes to spare, go ahead and watch the first two episodes…I may even rewatch them before next week. Challenge accepted!”
Saucer of milk for Kim Cattrall, please.
And Just Like That has attempted to address the feud between Cattrall and SJP on screen, having added a storyline that says their characters fell out on the show.
To explain Samantha’s absence, And Just Like That writers have said the character moved to London after she had a fallout with Carrie.
However, sources have indicated that the cast would be keen to have Cattrall back should the show be renewed for more seasons.
“We have high hopes that by the time we begin filming the second season, Kim will have joined the show and Samantha Jones can make a triumphant return to the Big Apple,” an insider told Daily Mail.
“We want Kim back. She was missed on set. We all understand why she feels the way she does. We get it. We just want her to come back for future seasons.”
Well, judging by Cattrall’s reaction, we’re not holding out breath.
And Just Like That continues Thursdays on Sky Comedy and NOW.
