Netflix has made our entire month by releasing the first look at Bridgerton's very own Queen Charlotte spin-off and we can't wait.
There are few characters we love more than Queen Charlotte; she's tough but fair, has a killer dress sense, and knows how to throw a party. Watch the first look:
So, who better to be at the centre of Shondaland's newest series?

The newest Netflix binge, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, will be a prequel to the hit series with India Amarteifio at the helm.
Announcing the new show in the voice of Lady Whistledown herself, the official Bridgerton account tweeted: "Dearest readers, rejoice in a formal introduction to royalty herself, India Amarteifio, who along with the incomparable duo of Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh will reveal the origins of Your Majesty. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is on the way, indeed."
Shonda Rhimes, executive producer of the show and all-round genius, confirmed the announcement, tweeting: "So excited to share a first look of Young #QueenCharlotte with you all!"

So far, we know that the show will follow Queen Charlotte in her marriage to King George, the incredible love story that we see mature in the first two seasons of Bridgeton.
And it's safe to say that people couldn't wait to see the results, with fans reeling from the news as if they'd just got a scandalous letter from Lady Whistledown herself.
One user couldn't get over how incredible the young queen looked: "Aww she looks beautiful & now that I remember how her & the Kings relationship ends up this show is going to break my heart 'QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY.'"

While another user simply wrote: "The Bridgerverse it’s expanding, and I couldn’t be HAPPIER #queencharlotte."
A third also decided to tweet like Lady Whisledown: "Dear readers, this first look at India Amarteifio as Queen Charlotte is PERFECT. I am OVERJOYED that one of my favorite #Bridgerton characters is getting her own spin-off series."
We, also, are overjoyed. Like seriously, we've barely recovered from the incredible second season of the show, now there's a prequel and we need more time to prepare our emotions.

Another seemed just as excited to see how things played out "I cannot wait. I love Queen Charlotte. Can't wait to see how she came to be."
While a fifth reminded us not to f*** with Bridgerton fans saying: "If they don't do queen charlotte's story well," and proceeded to share a series of knife emojis.
Yep, they, and we, take Bridgerton very seriously.
