Fans are calling true crime series 'one of the best shows on Netflix'

A brand new season of chilling true crime series I Am A Killer has dropped on Netflix and people are already obsessed.

The third season of the hit docu-series has given viewers six new criminals who have confessed to murder and are ready to tell their side of the story.

The new season, which dropped on 30 August, also investigates the background of each inmate, speaking to their families, the victims' families, journalists and police officers who worked on their case.

A Netflix description of the series reads: "Critically acclaimed docu-series I Am A Killer is back for a third season to examine the cases of prisoners convicted of murder - either sentenced to death or destined to spend the remainder of their lives behind bars.

"Each episode explores the crimes in question through unflinchingly intimate interviews with the men and women who committed them.

"Prosecutors, defense attorneys, investigators, friends and relatives of the victims and convicted felons offer their perspective on the tragic events and the players involved.

"New facts emerge, previously hidden motives are discovered, rare glimpses of humanity are revealed and strange twists of the United States legal system exposed. Some victims’ loved ones offer forgiveness; others demand retribution.

"First-person killer testimonies, insider access into the prison system and exceptional contributors present unparalleled insight into the minds and motivations of these real-life murderers."

This season will tell the stories of:

• Victoria Smith, who has confessed to killing her husband, though someone close to the case doesn't quite believe her.
• Deryl Madison, who was on death-row the murder of an 81-year-old woman.
• Daniel Paulsrud, who claims the fatal shooting of his partner was an accident, though the accounts from her family say otherwise.
• James Walker, who has no recollection of the murder he's confessed to.
• Three different men who received wildly different prison sentences for their roles in the killing of a taxi driver.
• David Cameron Keith, who took a teenage boy hostage, before going to the airport and killing a pilot who volunteered to take the teen's place.

The new series has only been out for a few days and people are already hooked.

A second tweeted: "This show is so good though. The prisoners have the gift of gab when it comes to being the victims of their own crimes. Got me feeling sorry for them for a minute then I see what they did..."
