There's a new true-crime on its way to Netflix this week and it looks truly gripping.
Sins of Our Mother is a three-part series dropping on the streaming platform on Wednesday 14 September and tells the story of Lori Vallow and her children.
You can watch the trailer below:
Lori is currently in jail, waiting to stand trial for conspiracy to commit murder, and first-degree murder, in connection with the deaths of four people – her fourth husband, her fifth husband's wife and her two youngest children, Tylee, 17 and. J.J, seven.

The series delves into the tragic backstory of Tylee and J.J's disappearances and deaths.
As the synopsis explains: “Lori Vallow was known to friends and family as a devoted mother of three, a loving wife, and a woman of God. But over the past three years, something went very wrong: Now Lori is in jail, waiting to stand trial for conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her fourth husband, her fifth husband’s wife, and her two youngest children.
"For the first time, Lori’s surviving son Colby steps forward to provide exclusive insight into his family’s backstory as well as their present-tense narrative as Lori faces justice. At the heart of this three-part series is a single burning question: how did a seemingly normal woman become the most notorious mother in America?”

Tylee and J.J were last seen in September 2019 after the family had moved following the death of Charles Vallow – Tylee's biological dad.
They were also closer geographically to 'cult leader' Chad Daybell, who Vallow later married in November 2019.
Both Tylee and J.J were found buried on Daybell's property in June 2020.
The true crime is the work of documentary maker Skye Borgman – who also helmed Abducted in Plain Sight. Unlike Skye's previous work, the case explored in Sins of Our Mother is very much still active and on Tuesday, 16 August, Vallow appeared in Idaho’s Fremont County Court.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and will stand trial along with Daybell in January 2023.
Those who have been following the case are keen for the doc to drop.
One person wrote on Twitter: "I cannot wait to watch Sins of Our Mother next week. The first time I saw anything about this case was last year. It’s absolutely insane."

And another said: "I will definitely be checking this out when it drops, such an insane case."
