It has been revealed that before he sadly passed away, former Pop Idol contestant Darius Campbell Danesh had two separate near-death experiences.
The Scottish singer was found dead at age 41 last Thursday (11 August) in his Minnesota apartment, his family confirmed.
While the cause of death is still unknown, police have said that there were no signs of 'intent or suspicious circumstances.'

And now, it has emerged that over the course of his lucrative music career, the singer and West End performer had his share of close calls.
Back in 2010, for example, Darius revealed to Hello! Magazine that was involved in a shocking car crash during a holiday in Spain which resulted in him breaking his neck.
He had been a passenger in a Porsche when it skidded on some oil on the road and hit a wall at 70mph.

After the incident, which left him in a neck brace, he claimed that he felt 'like the luckiest man alive' for surviving the deadly crash.
He recalled at the time that a nurse told him if the damage to his spine had been 3 millimetres further left or right, he would have been paralysed or killed.
The singer was treated with daily physiotherapy but turned down an operation that doctors had recommended for fear that it would damage his vocal cords.
Seven years later in 2017, Darius announced the shocking news that he had contracted meningitis and briefly slipped into a coma after drinking water from the Thames in 2015.

The 'Colourblind' singer had been filming a promo clip for his charity's Fresh20 Water filter, which he claimed could remove 99.9 percent of all 'water-borne pathogens, bacteria and viruses.'
To prove how well it worked, Darius drank water from a Thames sewage outlet. Unfortunately, the bottle he drank from didn't have a filter attached, and the performer ended up with a weakened immune system, landing him with meningitis and cerebral oedema.
Detailing the harrowing experience, he recalled that, after drinking the river water, he collapsed at his mum's house.

"It turned out I had a cerebral oedema where your brain swells bigger than your skull" he said.
Rushed to the hospital by his dad, Darius was told he had bacterial meningitis after picking up an inflammatory virus from the Thames.
Thankfully, the pop star wasn't in a coma for too long, and woke up in hospital surrounded by family.
