Irish presenter Eamonn Holmes took a dig at his former This Morning co-stars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby ahead of their return to This Morning amid rumours of a falling out.
All eyes have been on Phillip and Holly today (15 May) as the two presenters appeared together on the show after viewers claimed to spot 'tension' between the two of them last week.
The well-known twosome had a period off presenting together as Phil took time off for his brother's court case, and Holly later had to stay at home after coming down with shingles - but a source has claimed they're 'not as close as they once were'.

Speaking to The Sun, they alleged: "Holly adores This Morning and for the first time in 14 years she has made it clear that should Phil ever leave she would want to stay. They are separate entities.
“To those around them on set, it has become clear recently that Holly and Phil are not as close as they once were.
"Professionally you would have no idea there was anything going on because on camera they are acting exactly the same. But behind the scenes their relationship has cooled."

The claim that viewers would have 'no idea there was anything going on' between the pair seemed to be backed by Holmes, who spoke about his former co-stars on his GB News show following the BAFTAs.
He implied they would never let their true feelings show on screen, saying: "There should have been a special award for Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for best actors. They may or may not be together on the telly today.
"The public surely will suss that there's no chemistry, that it's a broken fit between the two of them and that This Morning does not depend on who presents it."

Holly and Phil were both smiling when they returned to their co-presenting duties today, though some viewers weren't convinced by their appearances.
One person wrote: "If I was in any doubt about the rumours, 2 mins into this morning's episode and defo feel tension, no eye contact between Phil & Holly, it must feel horrible [sic]."
Phil attempted to squash rumours of a feud between the pair in a statement released to The Sun, saying: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock.

“We’re the best of friends — as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her.
“The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us. My family went through a real ordeal.
“And Holly’s support throughout meant the world to me... And of course Holly has herself been ill with shingles. Whatever happens, we still have each other to count on."
Holly hasn't commented on the rumours.
