Gemma Collins says she had heart attack symptoms as ambulance is called to her home

People are flooding to social media in support of Gemma Collins after the TOWIE star revealed she thought she was having a heart attack.

Gemma Collins revealed that she thought she was having a heart attack which led to an ambulance being called to her home last night.

On Tuesday (7 February), Collins - who found fame on ITV reality series The Only Way is Essex - took to her Instagram to share the scary shock she'd had the previous night which left her fearing for her life.

The 42-year-old explained she believed she was having a heart attack and so had to call an ambulance to her house.

In a video uploaded to her Instagram stories, Collins thanked fans for their 'well wishes', noting she had a 'terrible shock last night'.

The GC continued: "I had terrible chest pains. I thought I was having a heart attack. Anyway, thank god, it wasn't that. I will go into it all later but I just want to say thank you for your well wishes.

"And the NHS were absolutely incredible. I had y'know nothing but such a great experience with them, and y'know I just really hope they get all their pay rises, cause they just work so hard.

"I'm just very happy to not have died from a heart attack last night. But, onwards and upwards. I'm at work. I will report back later. But I just wanted to say thank you [...] and I'm on an amazing shoot today."

Collins thanked concerned fans for their 'well wishes'.

Yesterday, Collins posted photos of the ambulance and the medical staff at her house to her Instagram stories, writing: "Thank you to all the amazing people that helped me this evening."

She added: "I really hope you get all you deserve."

And fans of the former TOWIE star flooded to her social media in concern.

One person wrote: "Hope are ok Gemma..just read on sky news emergency services have been rushed to your property..sending you love, sending love, loads of it."

However, a few weren't impressed with Collins sharing photographs to her social media, despite the reality star having thanked 'all the amazing people' who helped her.

One user said: "I was rather shocked that you (or someone) were taking photos of the ambulance etc . Gotta say it’s the last thing I’d be thinking of if I needed the paramedics!"

Not all of Collins' followers were impressed with her sharing images of the ambulance and paramedics on social media.

Since finding fame on TOWIE, Collins has gone on to star in multiple other television shows, such as I'm A Celeb, but she'll soon be taking part in a celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off, which is raising money and awareness for Stand Up To Cancer.

Collins will be joining the likes of Dragon's Den's Deborah Meaden, comedian and Loose Women panellist Judi Love, Jesy Nelson from Little Mix and even Friends star David Schwimmer.

As one Twitter user wrote: "I'm sorry?? Gemma Collins and David Schwimmer. Together. On Telly. Making baked goods. For charity?

"Take my money."
