BBC Morning Live fans have been questioning what has happened to Gethin Jones after the presenter came onto the show with crutches and wearing a boot.
The chat show returned to its normal schedule this week after relocating to its new studios in Manchester, and it didn’t take viewers long before realising that Jones had sustained an injury.
So, what happened to the former rugby union player?
What happened to Gethin Jones’ foot?
Gethin Jones recently had an “ankle arthroscopy and lateral ligament reconstruction”, according to the star, leaving him with crutches and his foot is in a supportive boot.

The 44-year-old previously told his followers that the operation would help him walk “down the stairs without pain, [go] for a run again (eventually)!! But will now have to find another excuse for my bad golf!”
Johns Hopkins Medicine states that the procedure is designed to "tighten and firm up one or more ankle ligaments on the outside of your ankle" adding: “It’s most often done as an outpatient surgery, so you can go home the same day.”
The presenter has since been able to return to work, although he requires the help of crutches and the support of his “mates” from time-to-time, as he’s continued to share updates on his social media page.

“My mates have really rallied around to help me during the past week or so, whilst I’ve been hobbling around,” he updated fans alongside a photo of his new bath mat.
“But @martybrucie is now having a little chuckle to himself, after I asked him to get me a bath mat. #Quack (does make me laugh every morning though 🤣)”
