Since his father entered the Oval Office for his second term, Barron Trump has been pushed into the spotlight more than ever.
The 19-year-old isn't hard to miss, as he towers above his father at six foot seven, but he's kept a largely quiet life and isn't one for public speaking like Donald Trump.
In fact, Barron is thought to be hugely different from his dad, not just due to his different choice of where to study.

Barron is currently a freshman at New York University (NYU), which was a different move to his siblings and his old man, who all chose to attend the University of Pennsylvania or Georgetown instead.
Yet it isn't just where he's studying that makes him different to his father; he's also thought to have a softer personality to Donald's buoyant persona.

A source speaking to PEOPLE described the 19-year-old as 'an old soul who is smart, well-spoken and well-read'.

They added: "He has lived through experiences others his age haven't. He is well-grounded, he has seen a lot and he knows who he is."
Another source told the outlet: "He isn’t as aggressive as many of his age when they are in their own social circles. He is someone who listens before talking, and is super polite."
While his father is a huge political figure, and even prior to becoming US president for a second time, he was rarely out of the spotlight, for Barron it's a different story.
He's been the center of increased attention since his father's campaign. In a rally last July, Donald told the crowd who cheered for Barron: "You’re pretty popular, he might be more popular than Don and Eric.

"So Barron, it’s good to have you. [He's] had such a nice, easy life. Now, it’s a little bit changed.”
Despite his father's huge position within US politics, Barron does try to take a backseat and was notably absent during his dad's first speech to Congress earlier this year. He's also not likely to appear at any future events his father makes, and with good reason.
Barron, who lives in New York in Trump Tower, is currently a freshman at NYU and will be busy attending classes, so he'll be unable to make as many public appearances.
The teenager is currently studying and attending classes at New York University's Stern School of Business since September, having graduated from Florida's Oxbridge Academy in May.

However, his college experience isn't likely to be the same as others in their first year of studies.

Mother Melania revealed in an interview that her son isn't like others, as she said last year: "I don't think it's possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college — it's very different than any other kid."
Melania has generally kept Barron away from the spotlight as much as possible, as she explained to Fox News: "I feel that children, when they reach 18 or 19 years old, we teach them, we guide them, and then we give them the wings to fly. I always respect Barron's yes and no - what he likes to do and where he wants to be."

She went on to call her son an 'incredible young man', adding: "I'm very proud of what he grew up to. His strength. His intelligence. His knowledge, his kindness. It's admirable."
